    This kit is pretty easy to install and seems to be well made, the instructions is pretty straightforward, one thing I will add is if you want to detect motion toward the outside of the car, you have to mount the motion sensor facing towards the outside, the instructions do not say that, just to mount to windshield, also on my sensor, the on/off switch doesn’t kill the power to the camera like you would think, it just turns off the blue lights for the motion sensor. The only way to kill the power is with the motion detection on/off button which is confusing, but other than that it’s a good kit so far.

    I have the same setup in another car, and it is definitely recommended to hire an installer. Even professional installer said he has a hard time with German cars. Had to run a separate fuse and relay, then do it again as there was interference and initially my car wouldn’t start. Fixed quickly and now everything works well.

    This kit allows you to hard wire your dash cam, mirror cam, etc directly to a power source. Sure you can use the cigarette lighter connection that comes with most devices. But for ease of use, wire it once, and forget it.

    Ran this from my dash cam to the fuse panel on the drivers side of my truck. Used an existing spare fuse that only receives power when the ignition is in the on position. Now, every time I start my truck my dash cam turns on.
