The suction cup would not stick except for a couple of seconds, so I decided to use Silicone Adhesive to make it stick on the windshield, it worked like a charm, you could also mount it with the regular mount that comes with the camera, but I find the suction cup mount more flexible and more adjustable.

This mount should be included with every Rexing V1 sold. This works SO MUCH better than the tape provided with the original product. If you live anywhere in the south, the tape will turn into goo the first time you have a hot day and leave your car in the sun, thereby leaving your dashcam on the floorboard of your car. All it takes is a bit of warm sunlight on the mount and the whole unit is on the floor – no good. The suction mount solves the problem nicely. It mounts easily, is simple to adjust and most importantly it stays there! Highly recommended.

Point of interest: you will need the power cord from said wifes truck to operate the camera in another truck. The same powercord you spent two hours and 30 millimeters of blood installing behind the plastic flanges because you were too stupid to realize the orange tool they gave you in the package was for that exact purpose, not your fat fingers that look like exploded hotdogs now

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

All it takes is a bit of warm sunlight on the mount and the whole unit is on the floor – no good. The suction mount solves the problem nicely. The same powercord you spent two hours and 30 millimeters of blood installing behind the plastic flanges because you were too stupid to realize the orange tool they gave you in the package was for that exact purpose, not your fat fingers that look like exploded hotdogs now

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

The suction cup would not stick except for a couple of seconds, so I decided to use Silicone Adhesive to make it stick on the windshield, it worked like a charm, you could also mount it with the regular mount that comes with the camera, but I find the suction cup mount more flexible and more adjustable.

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

The suction cup would not stick except for a couple of seconds, so I decided to use Silicone Adhesive to make it stick on the windshield, it worked like a charm, you could also mount it with the regular mount that comes with the camera, but I find the suction cup mount more flexible and more adjustable.

All it takes is a bit of warm sunlight on the mount and the whole unit is on the floor – no good. The suction mount solves the problem nicely. Point of interest: you will need the power cord from said wifes truck to operate the camera in another truck. The same powercord you spent two hours and 30 millimeters of blood installing behind the plastic flanges because you were too stupid to realize the orange tool they gave you in the package was for that exact purpose, not your fat fingers that look like exploded hotdogs now

This new windshield suction mount is the long-awaited fix for the only downside to purchasing the fantastic performing Rexing V1 Dashcam. I have three. In hot climates with high ultraviolet, the adhesive tape included to affix your V1 to you vehicle windshield breakdown from heat and the unit falls off. Fortunately, Rexing supports it’s customers and, upon request, mails you more adhesive tabs. The Rexing staff also listens and this mount is perfect t so far as it was tested on a 2000 mile round-trip to Baltimore from Florida without incident.
Now, I’ll equip my other two V1 Dashcam with this mount. Good job, Rexing.

This suction cup mount is a great addition to the V1 3rd gen dashcam that I purchased. I want to be able to move around the mounting part of the dashcam, something that you can’t do with the adhesive mount. No regrets for purchasing this!
Be sure to clean your windshield with a glass cleaner and wipe it off with a lint free cloth (paper towel will do) before mounting this. Once you do, it’ll stick really good. After attaching the dashcam to the suction cup mount, there was almost no shaking/movement after tightening all the joints on it.
I definitely recommend getting this for those who plan on purchasing a V1 or V1 3rd Gen dashcam from Rexing.

Very easy to install on my Rexing V1P dash cam. I enjoy the fact that it has a suction cup that’s removeable rather than something that’s permanent, due to future windshield reinstallments.

Works just fine for me. Have used it several times now and had no issues. Even was a little stubborn removing it from the windshield which means it was holding very well. Maybe those who have had an issue with it loosening up should try the old trick of very slightly dampening the suction cup before applying it.

I was using the velcro strips that came with the camera and they worked well until the weather turned hot. The sticky velcro tape kept melting off the plate that slid into the camera mount. I decided to try this suction cup mount and it works great even with the hot sun on the dash.

The stick on mount that came with the Rexing lasted about two days in the heat. Just spent the last few days in Florida with this suction cup mount on the window and it did not come off. Just make sure it is on the window and not the antenna built in to the window. That surface is not flat.

Extremely easy to use but I don’t see why I have to buy it separately from the camera. This should be the standard mount, not the adhesive tab that comes with the camera.
The suction has worked well all summer so no issues with heat or humidity. Allows you to move it (or remove it) as necessary.

Essential for the Rexing v1 dash cam. The mount that comes with the v1 is a stick on type that sticks directly to the windshield. It can’t be moved or re positioned easily. This mount also holds the camera a little farther from the windshield which may help with some of the overheating issues that I’ve heard of.

It is was better than the trash adhesive they give you in the box for those rexing cameras, have 3 of those cameras and the adhesive failed on all 3 during the summer (which is not that hot, maybe 99F max MAYBE) but either way this is a great replacement for that trash adhesive.

Works great – the only time I have had any problem was one morning when the temperature was -20F and again one day in the summer when the outside temp was roughly 101F and I left the windows all the way up in the car and did not put the sun visor in the windshield. Otherwise, it has been great.

This worked as expected with the Reving V1 dashcam. It is easy to install and allows someone to have an alternative to a permanently installed Mount. So far it has stayed in place for a week with no problems, I plan to order another one to install in one of my other cars as well. Not sure about the long term durability but it seems well made.

Haven’t had any issues with it so far & honestly don’t forsee any. Works exactly how it should. I went camping & was driving on some VERY bumpy roads & this worked perfectly. IMO it even adds a small amount to the stability on the video from my dash cam from what the original mount that came with the camera would have had. Very happy.
UPDATE: Does fall off window every so often but easy 2 reattach & stays most of the time.

This mount really has holdingpower. Most mounts fail with rapid temp changes., but this mount has held up well so far. No surprise releases in the middle of your drive. Just make sure you windshield is spotless when applying the mount.

I purchased this to keep from using the adhesive mounting tape that came with my Rexing V1 dash cam as I did not want the tape permanently stuck to my windshield. This suction cup mount is well made and fits the dash cam like a glove. I just put a little moisture on the cup to give it extra suction and I’ve never had it to come off. A very nice addition if you want the flexibility of moving the mount and the camera to a different location. I highly recommend this product!

As a follow up for the dash cam review I really hated the included adhesive. The summer here in NJ and many other states will most likely cause the two sided tape to fail and cause your dash cam to fall. After the adhesive failed the 2nd time, I ordered the suction cup. I think it really should be included in the package but the tape might be good enough depending on where you live
It works just as it should. The dash cam hasn’t fallen yet and it’s much easier to relocate is needed.

Very convenient. I drive an 18 wheeler for around 10 hours a day. I have this mounted in the top center of my windshield. Occasionally, a particularly big grasshopper or other large bug will splat right in front of the camera. With this mount, I am able to move the camera to a clear spot on the window without having to stop, get out and clean the outside of the windshield. Much easier than with the adhesive mount.

After reading other reviews about how the adhesive mounting strips, that are included in the camera package, were not sticking to the windshields after a short period of time due to heat from the sun etc., I looked into the suction cup as an option. Also I didn’t want anything, besides my rearview mirror, to be permanently attached to my windshield. When I received my suction cup, I pulled my car into the garage and cleaned the spot on the windshield were I was going to mount the cup. A couple hours after mounting the cup, I went back and installed the camera. The next morning when I went into the garage, the mount and camera had fallen from the windshield. So, I then dampened a piece of cloth with water, rubbed it on the suction and remounted the cup and camera. That was well over a month ago, and we have experienced a series of heat waves – temps over 90 degrees over a 3 day period or more according to local meteorologist , and my suction cup has remained in position. I am satisfied that this suction cup has met my needs.

What I love about this is the versatility! If after mounting it on the windshield you find that it needs either tilting or rotation to get the right framing that you want it can be adjusted very easily and without removing it from the window. And if you need to tweek something on the dashcam it’ll slide off the mount easily.

I installed my Rexing initially with the provided 3M tape, however after a windshield replacement I needed a new mount. The two 3M tape mounts I ordered did not last long and let go of the camera after a few weeks (they stuck well to the windshield!). Rexing provided me with a sucking cup and that has since lasted, even in warmer (90F+) weather, just make sure there is not really any air left under the suction cup.
When I bought another camera, I thus purchased another suction cup mount (I sure wish they were included with the camera!)

This fits the Rexing V1 dash cam very well and I guess it should since it is a Rexing Product. It holds the camera onto the windshield very well. I have had it a couple of days and it has stayed right were I put it since then. I liked this option as I will be changing vehicles in the near future.

I bought the mount for a Rexing V1 Dash Camera. The mount was of surprising high quality, very sturdy, not what I expected for the relatively low price. The first time I put it on, the mount came off the window overnight. A friend told me to clean the window with rubbing alcohol. I did so and the mount went on and has stayed on. It was very easy to attach to the camera, and very easy to attach to the window. It is also easy to reach the buttons on the camera if I need to. I had an issue that caused me to contact Rexing service (not an issue that Rexing caused), and the immediate courteous response was terrific.

I purchased this suction mount additional to the Rexing V1 DashCam, and am impressed by its utility and strong suction capability, this makes mounting the dashcam so easy and avoids having to use the sticky mount, which is a one time deal and once mounted doesn’t allow for repositioning or change. This allows you to adjust camera position as much as you want and also when you want to take the camera off and out of the vehicle just unplug and pop the whole thing off, camera and suction mount and all, it’s a snap.

I have the V1 unit installed in our car and purchased a separate suction cup to alternately mount it in my truck. The mount has a tight, solid build with excellent suctionÑreally secure on the windshield. The rotating mounting hole for the V1 fits perfect and secures the dash cam very well. Again, the build is quite firm and tight and should do its job well. Be advised that the V1 mounting hole and the suction cup mounting shaft fits very tight. I noticed that after mounting and dismounting the two devices several times, the V1 fit on the car mount was not as tight. Transferring the dash cam between vehicles is not a good idea folks. Mounting and dismounting the dash cam eventually causes looseness and lateral movementÑobviously due to surface friction of the plastic material. I temporarily fixed the minor issue with a small piece of tape. So I am permanently eliminating any issues by ordering a dash cam for my truckÑsimply as that. I can say that the suction cup is very niceÑI believe that it will work just fine if used as a primary mount.

This works great as an alternative to securing the dashcam with adhesive on the inside of your windshield glass. I’m surprised at the number of people who don’t understand that the tilt angle can be adjusted by loosening the knob on the side. Also, you need to place the suction cup in position, pressing it moderately only, and then push the lever to make it secure. I have found this mount to work very well, particularly with a light dashcam light the Rexing V1.
That said, any suction cup applied to glass is likely to fall off eventually. But my experience is that this is more reliable (especially in high heat) than the adhesive strips. It’s also convenient to be able to move the mount as necessary.

I did a lot of internet research as this would be my first experience/ purchase of dash cams. I purchase another “recommended” brand and had issues from the start. Directions were vague, had to find a YouTube to understand setup, website would register product, and unable to reach customer support. Called Amazon and they agreed to a return. Went back to the search and found REXING V1P Dual Cam. The Amazon reviews were good looked like a good choice. Received the dash cam and found much better instruction, USA phone number for support as well as website. Haven’t used the rear cam yet but the front cam pictures are Great!! Registered online and the 12 month warranty was increased to 18 months.

I have another brand of dash cam that I stopped using because the suction cup became worn from the sun. This looked similar, but I found out that the mounting connection was different. Then I looked again. I could simply push out the anchor peg, using my old dashcam’s base connector to replace the different base connector of the new one, and voila. That’s French for “there you go”. I’m glad because this suction cup is so good. Much better than the previous one.
