EASY TO INSTALL

Find the Correct Fuse Slot

Locate the car fuse box, please refer to your car’s manual. Open the fuse box, find the correct fuse slot for your hardwire kit. If you need to find an ignition switched fuse, put the key in the vehicle, find the fuse which is not lit up while the car is off, and test it by turning the car on to see if it lights up. If your kit requires constant power, turn off the car and remove the key to see which fuse slots stays lit on.

Connect the Red Wire

Our hardwire Kit comes with a 15A Mini-type fuse. Plug the red wire fuse connector into the switched fuse box in the correct orientation.

Plug the yellow wire fuse connector into the hot fuse box in the correct orientation.

Ground the Hardwiring Kit

Slip the black wire (which is in the shape of a C) under a metal bolt or screw in your vehicle (this is the ground wire). Check that it is not attached onto plastic parts. You will typically need a socket wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that you choose to ground with. To attach the grounding terminal, loosen the nut or bolt enough to slip it in and tighten it back up afterward.

    When I purchased the dashcam it gave no option to choose which fuse tap needed for my specific vehicle so I had to spend additional funds to purchase this product which contained three (3) sets of different sizes but only needed one (1) specific set. Now I have two (2) sets that are useless to me plus the original set that came with the camera for a total of three (3) sets that my money was wasted on. Rexing should set it up where when you purchase the camera you are able to choice which fuse type you require and not make customers pay for something that should have been initially provided.

    I bought a mirror dash cam with backup cam, and wanted to wire it directly, as I only have one power outlet, so the plug-in power adapter was competing with my phone charger. This fuse adapter made it easy to install an extra power outlet near the fuse box (totally hidden from view), and my dash cam powers up when I turn the car on. And my phone charger remains in the dash power outlet, always ready to charge my phone!

    I would have preferred that this kit was included as a standard with the hardwire kit itself. It’s ridiculous to order a camera, go thru all the motions taking parts apart to find out you need to buy and wait additional days for a different adapter. It’s time consuming, it’s completely asinine and I almost returned everything completely but again more inconvenience so I’ll just express my opinion here and hope you do better for future customers. It would absolutely raise your customers satisfaction rating. You got idiot men out here soddering and trying to rewire the product because it’s not marketed properly. Read your reviews damn

    Didn’t realize that a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has micro fuses and I purchased the Hardwire kit not realizing that it came with normal everyday fuses and I needed the Add-a-Circuit adapter which worked perfectly but now I have four different adapters sitting in a draw.
